Recognising the Symptoms of Teething |
In most children teething starts at around 6 months of age. However, the first set of primary (milk) teeth take up to 2 to 3 years to appear. Teething can be a painful and distressing time for your child. Learning to recognise teething symptoms is the first step in finding the best remedy for your teething baby. Each child is unique, so recognising teething symptoms can be somewhat problematic. Because each child experiences teething differently, parents and physicians often disagree as to the symptoms of teething and how painful it is. But, most times, teething symptoms manifest themselves in the following way. One ward of caution: what you may believe to be teething symptoms in your child, can be caused by other conditions, so be sure to always check with your doctor. |

An Introduction to Baby Car Seats |
|
Becoming a parent for the first time involves a huge amount of learning, as there are hundreds of things involved which childless people will have had no reason to come across before, nor had any incentive to learn about. When you first learn of the impending new arrival, your thoughts will probably be taken up with decorating and equipping a nursery, buying clothes, bottles, and much more, but many people don't think of a baby car seat until later on in the pregnancy. It's very important to make sure you know what to look for in a seat, as after all, you'll need one on your baby's very first journey, from the hospital back to home. For this first journey, you'll need a seat which faces towards the rear of your vehicle. This provides the best protection in the event of an impact for an infant who is unable yet to support the weight of their own head. The seat will be nicely reclined backwards, providing a safe and comfortable coccoon for your baby. |

These points are taken directly from the website below, but I expanded on them a bit to give you a better understanding from the point of view from an adult indigo. • Respect them. Indigo's live strictly by the universal rule that you have to give respect in order to get respect. If you do not show respect to your indigo children, you can bet they will not show you respect no matter how much you punish them... in fact, punishing them for not showing you respect when you've disrespected them will make their behavior worse. • Practice unconditional love for your child. Love them and show it, no matter what. |

|

This is because copper destroys both vitamins C and E and also the folic acid in the food. In addition, acidic foods cooked in copper pots can contain toxic levels of copper. |

So you've done everything you need in preparing to bring home your new baby. You have the nursery decorated, the layette, have chosen a name and decided whether to breastfeed or bottle feed. At four months of age, your baby’s diet should consist of breast milk and/or formula. However, between four and six months, you may begin adding solid foods to his or her diet. Prior to this age, babies have not lost their tongue-thrust reflex that will push out a spoon or anything else inserted in the mouth, including food. Most babies lose this reflex at about four months. Interestingly, this is also around the same time that a baby’s energy level increases, thus making it a perfect time to increase the caloric intake.

How To Get Out & About With Baby |
Even in the first month, fresh air and a change of surroundings can be beneficial for both you and your baby. If the weather is nice, don’t hesitate to go for a walk. Though, because it will be several months before your baby’s internal temperature control is fully mature, it will be important to dress him or her properly for the outside world. Generally, you should add one additional layer of clothing than what you would wear outdoors. Your baby’s skin is also very susceptible to sunburn, thus it is important to keep him or her out of direct sunlight as much as you possibly can. Hats and bonnets can be useful in shielding the sun from the face. Sun block creams and lotions are not recommended for babies under six months of age.
