You bet! Naming babies is a major responsibility for any parent because unless they apply for a name change from the local civil registry the chidl would be carrying that name forever.
Some parents tend to name their children in honor of their parents and grandparents thus we see a lot of the 1st, Jr, the 2nd, the 3rd and so on. Please be more creative parents!
Parents should also be careful in naming their children after famous people in history. Research on why that person is famous first of all. Or else, you may be naming your child after an unpopular but still famous person!
