My name is Heidi, and my husband's name is Ray. We are both 30 years old.
When we were 23 years old we started trying for babies on our honeymoon. We
tried for only four months and got pregnant.
On January 9, 1999, we found out right off the bat we were having triplets. We
were very shocked but excited. It was an instafamily.
So when I was 24 weeks we found out it was two boys and a girl. We felt bad for
our little girl with the boys.
It was a very long, exhausting pregnancy. Everything health wise went
wonderfully.
On October 23, 1999, I went into labor around 7 a.m. The babies were born
vaginally and very healthy. We named them Alyson Danielle, Collin Alexander and
Lance Stephen.
We thought we were done having kids but when the triplets were 5 years old we
found out we were pregnant again! And again with triplets. We were very shocked
and didn't know what to do. We were very nervous and thought we couldn't handle
six kids. So we prayed, No. 1, for healthy babies and an easier pregnancy, and
then for at least one girl.
Well it was very happy news. We had two girls and a boy. We could not ask for a
better family. Three boys and three girls.
On May 12, 2005, our little babies were born. The girls were very healthy but
our son was very small. He had the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck and
couldn't breathe well. They took him to intensive care for three weeks and he
turned out OK. We named them Leah Elisabeth, Camille Alyssa and Spencer Ryan.
So now our family is complete for sure (I got my tubes tied) and we are just
finding a schedule that works for all eight of us. It is very hard but we love
our kids very much. All the girls, Leah, Camille and Alyson, sleep in one room
and all the boys, Spencer, Lance and Collin, right next door. My sister and mom
and Ray's sister all moved in to help out. We are very thankful! Thanks for
listening to my story.
